Nutrition

Not only is being physically active very important, but so is a healthy and nutritious diet. You can find the different food groups online to get a good idea of what a nutritious diet looks like. Personally my favorite food groups are protein and fruits/veggies. I think part of being able to stay consistent with a nutritious diet is to eat foods that you like. I am much more inclined to eat foods like chicken, steak, eggs, grapes, strawberries, cantaloupe, etc. That makes it much more sustainable for me!

  1. Hi Andrew! I really enjoyed reading your blog about nutrition. Sometimes it is very hard to stay on a healthy and nutritious diet, especially being a college student. Some of my favorite foods to eat are eggs, sausage, cheese sticks, cottage cheese, grapes, pistachios, and cashews. I try and keep my diet as clean as possible and have healthy and filling snacks with me. I struggled in the beginning of college trying to figure out when to eat, what to eat, and how much I should eat. I finally found a consistent schedule with my eating pattern,, and it has seemed to work pretty well for me.

  2. Hey Andrew! I really liked your post and agree that finding foods you actually enjoy makes it so much easier to stick with a nutritious diet. I’m the same way — I love eating chicken, eggs, and lots of fruits like strawberries and pineapple. As a college athlete, it can be tough to balance healthy eating with a busy schedule, but I’ve found that meal prepping and keeping quick snacks on hand helps a lot. It’s great that you’ve found what works best for you and can stay consistent with it!
