School Wellness Education

School Wellness Education is a very important aspect of human life. SWE develops skills to facilitate positive change within their classes, schools and HPE programs. Three elements of SWE are Whole School, Livil Well, and Self Empowerment. Whole School involves content relative to the community, and play a role in the school to extend and enhance well-being. Living Well pertains to what do students need to be physically educated to be life, career, and college ready. Self Empowerment is exactly what it sounds like. It is a SW Educators job to build self empowerment into students lesson by lesson. We must instill it in the students that it is important to take care of themselves!

  1. I think School Wellness is a great way to teach health and physical education. It is so important to involve the whole school when you can. As future educators we should try to incorporate events that can get people's bodies moving to help your school be active. It is also important to help our students feel confident when it comes to health and wellness. We can do this by giving them resources and finding creative ways to teach them to feel confident.

  2. I think SWE is one of the most important if not the most important subjects in school. SWE teaches students basic motor skills that are needed. Without an understanding and correct executing of basic locomotor skills, people would have trouble moving around with their kids and basic lives. If we really look deeper into, physical movement helps students better understand not only how their bodies work, but it helps them see within themselves. The mind and body are one and that is what I believe SWE is about. Teaching students how to push themselves to be better and healthier in their lifestyles.

  3. I completely agree with your points! School Wellness Education (SWE) plays a key role in helping students build lifelong health and wellness habits. The three elements Whole School, Living Well, and Self-Empowerment work together to create a strong foundation for student success. Whole School ensures that wellness is promoted through community and school-wide efforts, while Living Well focuses on preparing students for healthy and active lifestyles beyond school. Self-Empowerment teaches students to take control of their own health and choices, which builds confidence and independence. Overall, SWE helps create a positive, health-focused environment that benefits everyone in the school community.

  4. I completely agree that School Wellness Education is so important for helping students develop lifelong healthy habits. I like how you broke it down into the three key elements because each one plays a unique role in supporting students. Whole School really shows how wellness connects to the community and school environment, which makes it more meaningful. Living Well emphasizes preparing students for life beyond school, which is so valuable. I also love that you highlighted Self Empowerment, because teaching students to take care of themselves builds confidence and responsibility that lasts a lifetime.
